The Alliance Française Dunedin is a centre for French language and French culture. Although some of our events are in French, most are bilingual. Members do not have to be fluent in French to take advantage of our various activities.

Most of our events are held at our clubrooms at 15 Bond Street, behind the Exchange post office. Everyone is welcome… come and practice your French!

Our regular meetings (and opening hours) are:

  • Soirée Crêpes – Pancakes night: 2nd Thursday of the month from 6.00pm – 2ème jeudi du mois à partir de 18h00
  • Le p’tit déj – French Brunch: 1st Saturday of the month from 10:30am – 1er samedi du mois à partir de 10h30

From time to time, we do change the day of those events not to clash with some other events, so please contact us beforehand or check our FB page to be sure we’ll be there. For more information, email
